USD #374 Information
Unified School District No. 374’s 2007-2008 enrollment is 539 students in Pre-K - 12. These students are in one high school, one middle school, and one elementary school. All district schools are fully NCA accredited. There are 45 faculty members, supported by a classified staff of 43.
The district is large enough to offer a balanced approach to academics and fine arts, yet small enough to permit a low teacher:student ratio. Our curriculum consists of 65 traditional class offerings, with an additional 70 available through virtual classroom instruction. The district offers a wide range of student activities, including: Scholar’s Bowl, Science Olympiad, football, track, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, wrestling, cross-country, and boys and girls golf.
The district participates in the High Plains Educational Cooperative, which serves the special education needs of 17 school districts in Southwest Kansas. USD 374 is a Charter Member of the Southwest Plains Regional Service Center, which serves 29 school districts and two special education cooperatives in the area.
Each classroom has Internet access, with an ample number of student computers, and each building houses a fully equipped computer lab. Classrooms are also equipped with a Smart Board and LCD projection unit.
